How Rez-Mesh Works
Rez-Mesh starts with devices that are physically present. Nearby participating devices discover one another, establish local relationships and create communication paths that do not require a cellular tower or internet service as the starting point.
Discover nearby devices
Rez-Mesh looks for participating devices using local wireless capabilities. Discovery is the first step: a device cannot become part of a local path until nearby participants know that it is present.
Connect locally
After discovery, devices can establish local communication relationships. The important difference is architectural: communication does not need to travel first to a remote cloud service simply to reach another device nearby.
Route through available participants
A destination may sit outside the sender’s immediate direct reach. Participating intermediate devices can become part of the path, allowing information to move hop by hop through the local mesh.
Adapt as the local topology changes
People move, radios sleep, devices leave and new devices appear. Rez-Mesh treats the available path as something that can change. The communication model is therefore about resilient local paths, not one permanent connection.
Rez-Mesh Beta is coming soon.
